Nationals build big lead and hold on for 6-5 win over Giants
WASHINGTON, Aug. 14 () -- Anthony Rendon touched off a five-run fourth inning with a two-run double Wednesday and Washington held on down the stretch to defeat San Francisco 6-5.Washington won its fifth in a row and handed the Giants their third straight setback.The Nationals took a 6-1 lead with their big inning, during which they scored a run on a wild pitch and another on a throwing error by third baseman Pablo Sandoval.
