Police: DNA evidence links former boxer Exum Speight to 1987 slaying
SAN FERNANDO, Calif., Sept. 26 () -- Los Angeles police said they arrested former professional boxer Exum Speight after DNA evidence allegedly linked him to the slaying of his manager in 1987.Cold case detectives re-examining evidence from the death of Douglas Stumler, 30, found DNA at the scene of the boxing manager's death in his San Fernando home, the Los Angeles Times reported Wednesday.Stumler died March 29, 1987,parajumpers online shop, of "multiple causes," said LAPD Detective Rick Jackson, including strangulation and stab wounds. It was a "pretty violent struggle," he said. "It was not a quick thing."Speight, christian louboutin schuhe, 50, was a potential suspect at the time of the slaying because he and Stumler had a confrontation over stolen property years before the incident, the Times reported. The connection was circumstantial and forensics at the time were unable to link Speight to the slaying.Speight, who works as a security guard at a Venice Beach marijuana clinic, was arrested Wednesday and was held on more than $1 million bail, the Times said.
