A young woman in a sensible black dress will ask your size, in whatever language you prefer. And then she will smile,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], indulgently. She brings you plainest black stilettos in various sizes to try. She decides.
Each is open-toed, high-heeled with a strap. Purple and mustard suede. Black and white polka dots with purple trim. Purple leather with silver trim and a tangle of ankle straps. And,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], just in case, pale pink,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], black patent and cream leather scalloped across the foot and heel.
This morning,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the two other women in the room are Argentinian - porteños,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], as people from Buenos Aires call themselves. Muñiz started designing shoes for herself and her friends, habitués of Buenos Aires milongas,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], or tango dance parties, and created Comme Il Faut in 2003.
"So many shoes, so little time,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]," a little needlepoint pillow propped in a corner says. The windowsill is lined with Art Deco shoe boxes, the end table with comfy-looking,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], well-travelled tango stilettos.
