North Fork of the Middle Fork Willamette River,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]
The North Fork offers exciting whitewater,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], superb scenery, and easy access. It flows into the Middle Fork Willamette River just below Westfir,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], near Oakridge. This section contains the Miracle Mile,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], a very steep,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], very tight,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], very technical section on which numerous professional and other hard-core kayakers have trained. Although many rapids along the Miracle Mile are named,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], it is best run for the first few times with someone who knows the complex, twisty routes,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], as well as the location of several dangerous logs. Eddies are small and difficult to catch. All except three drops can be scouted by boat. Whenever the run divides around an island, go left. Character: old growth; canyon.
