Report: Buccaneers release Peyton Hillis

However, his production slipped the next season, and he moved on to Kansas City for the 2012 campaign. Hillis rushed for 309 yards and a TD in 13 games (two starts) in his lone season with the Chiefs. The Buccaneers signed him in July.Hillis' departure leaves Brian Leonard and Mike James as the backups to Buccaneers featured back Doug Martin.
