Fox News eye candy Andrea Tantaros could learn self,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]
On Thursday's "The Five" on Fox News,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], regular commentator Andrea Tantaros following a ridiculous segment that bashed the President and Democrats for waging the "war on women",[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], took a cheap shot at Sandra Fluke. Fluke was the law student at Georgetown who spoke to House Democrats in support of mandating insurance coverage for contraceptives for women. "She claims to be this smart,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], successful woman (Fluke) and she can't afford $9 birth control" Tantaros said. Tantaros called her a lazy student who won't go out and get a job and pay her own bills. She then went on to say that "no woman should aspire to be her." Conservative talk-show host Rush Limbaugh caused an uproar recently referring to Fluke as a "slut" and "prostitute" after her speech to the Democrats.
Leave it to Fox News to project the GOP's war on women onto the President and the Democrats. They continue to insult the intelligence of their viewing audience. Most Americans who don't tune into Fox News know it isn't the President or Democrats that are doing everything in their power to restrict women their choice for health care,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], or their right to equal pay for equal work. They know it isn't the Democrats who will not be happy unless we go back to the fifties when it comes to women's reproductive rights. They know it isn't the Democrats that are implying that some rapes are legitimate.
It's ironic that this nonsense about not aspiring to be like Sandra Fluke - a fighter for women's rights - is being delivered by women like Tantaros who make a living serving as eye candy doing the famous Fox News leg shots. But the truth is that sex sells and Fox News chief Roger Ailes has taken the Fox News network to #1 by bringing to life leggy Barbie dolls in short skirts and push-up bras. Now I'm sure some of them have degrees from some of the best schools in the country,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but do we really believe that's why they were hired? I'm willing to bet that the Fox News heads take their hair,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], cleavage,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], lips,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and legs more into consideration then any graduate degree or professional work experience. This cannot possibly be what Tantaros means by "aspire to be" or could it? Could she mean aspire to be someone who needs to count on her looks,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], spending hours in spin class because she could lose her job to the next Barbie that comes along with better "gams".
Let's keep it real for a moment. But women are much more alluring when there is also a personality behind that body that includes,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], intelligence,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], loyalty,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and fighting for what you believe in. Fox News Barbie dolls - well,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], they are a dime a dozen.
