I'm desperately searching for a pair of pretty, flat, ivory bridal shoes. A very slight kitten heel would be acceptable, but I am only two inches shorter than my fiance and I don't want to be taller than him in pictures!
I've been looking all over the place and while there are a lot of plain ballet flats, I'd like something a little more special. Ideally I'd like to be able to find something in a store (so I can try it on) or in a place with free shipping to/from (like Zappo's). This is negotiable if I found the "perfect pair", but I'd also like to pay less than 100 dollars. I know, I know, I'm picky! Smile

I've exhausted Google as well as my local malls and shoestores. Admittedly I haven't tried bridal salons that feature dyable shoes - but I'd like to keep that as a "last resort." I cut the size I wanted and used double stick scotch tape and taped it to the shoe to dress it up. Buy the ballet shoes that you are comfortable with and see what decorations -- simple lace with pearls or whatever and either glue them or use the double faced tape or hand sew it on. There are three websites that I can think of that have bridal shoes and free shipping both ways. The great thing about these sites is that you can actually search by color, style, heel height and size.

I would recommend that you go to a bridal store. I know you want to leave that as a last resort, but it wouldn hurt to have a look. You be surprised at the affordability of the shoes.
