UEFA's dedication to the game's grassroots has helped one of its charity partners stage training seminars for over 2,000 leaders and coaches from the Balkan and Caucasus regions. Football coursesMore than 10,000 coaches have completed the Open Fun Football Schools courses run by one of UEFA's main charity partners. Open Fun Football Schools has implemented 21 three-day seminars this summer for leaders and coaches from Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, F.Y.R. Macedonia, Serbia and Montenegro, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia. The leaders and coaches are now busy organising summer football schools for almost 30,000 boys and girls aged between seven and eleven in their respective home towns. It is a humanitarian project, organised by the Danish non-governmental body Cross Cultures and the Norwegian Football Association in co-operation with the national federations of the above-mentioned countries. Grassroots dedication"It is fantastic to be part of this programme," said Cross Cultures founder Anders Levinsen. "During these years, we have experienced a fantastic dedication to the development of grassroots football, and the quality of our workshops and discussions on our seminars are improving from year to year. I am convinced new england patriots jerseys the strong UEFA focus on the development of grassroots football has an important impact in this cheap san francisco 49ers jerseys matter." Voluntary leadersSince the Open Fun Football Schools were introduced in Bosnia-Herzegovina in 1998, more than 10,000 voluntary leaders and coaches have participated in the seminars. By the end of the summer, the organisation will have staged summer schools for more than 100,000 boys and girls in tandem with the national football associations and local clubs. Impressive figures"These are impressive figures, and we can certainly see the fruit of our work in these years," said Levinsen. "When we started our operation in Bosnia-Herzegovina, only 16 football clubs in the whole country were organising football for children. Important impact"Today we know that about 398 football clubs and more than 100 private football schools are organising football for children," he added. "So in Bosnia-Herzegovina alone, we have seen an increase from 16 to 500 clubs in cheap philadelphia eagles jerseys just seven years, which is fantastic. Of course, it is the local leaders and coaches that are responsible for these developments, but I am sure that our programme has had an important impact stimulating and supporting their important work."
