Canadian Olympic Committee has new logo,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]
The new logo has a red flame instead of the old orange one,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and according to the Canadian Olympic Committee,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], "the gradient in the flame has been removed to help improve consistency when replicating the mark."
New logos were also created for the Canadian Olympic Team,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the Canadian Youth Olympic Team,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the Canadian National team for the Pan American Games,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and the Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], which currently does not have a home with the Canada Sports Hall of Fame moving from Toronto to Calgary.
With the new logo for the Canadian Olympic Team,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the focus is on the maple leaf itself. Canadian Olympic Committee Chief Operating and Chief Marketing Officer Christopher Overholt says the new logo "is simple and clean." It is also interesting to note that the prominence of the maple leaf on Canadian Olympic jerseys took place decades before the prominence of thee maple leaf on the Canadian flag.
