10 cardboard bicycle you are able to ride in the rain
It's engrossed in a waterproof resin then painted,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
That means it might be a cheap type of transport in rural Under developed regions in addition to being the ultimate green machine,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
Israeli-based engineer Izhar Gafni presently has financial resources from a company called ERB that is an active partner in managing all the business and overall costs of the project.
Izhar got the idea after he heard about a man who had built a cardboard canoe.
He said thinking about a canoe which was waterproof and could hold a guy, made him make a bike.
He made a prototype able to support a rider weight and capable of being pedaled and steered as being a normal machine,
But he admitted: 'It appeared as if a packing case on wheels,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
'Not a bicycle.'
He want to enter board and created his finished model.
He said: 'Like Henry Ford who made the vehicle open to anybody,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], this bike will probably be cheap and available to any child on the planet,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], including children in Africa who walk dozens of miles to school every day.'

A spokesman for ERB said the Cardboard Bicycle can withstand water and humidity.
He added the bike looks like it is made from hard lightweight polymer,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but is stronger then carbon fibre and may carry riders weighing up to 220 kilograms.
The estimated price of making the bicycle is about £10.
The spokesman said: 'The biggest challenge from the Cardboard Bike project ended up being to learn and develop a totally new know-how of cardboard,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
'The challenge ended up being to go ahead and take cardboard material,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and pass it via a set of treatments, to change the raw materials of plastic, wood or metal.
'Nothing doesn't seem possible if you have patience and you're simply persistent,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].'
The present prototype,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the 3rd, is called Alfa and is made from a 100 percent recycled materials and weighs just 9kilos.
It arrives with the option of an electric motor,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
A smaller child version weighing 3.5 kilos with a production cost of £5 is also within the pipeline,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
The inventor, Mr Gafni, a mechanical engineer,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], developed the recycled cardboard bikes combining his knowledge being an expert in building and designing customized carbon fiber bikes for high end riders and his experience like a production line expert.
His previous inventions include a prize-winning pomegranate peeling machine,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], a smart robot for sewing shoes along with a climbing machine for disabled people.
The ERB sokesman said: 'Cardboard technologies is all about creating a better world for all of us to live in by two main principals: creating a chance to produce almost any daily product from at least 95 per cent recycled materials and building auto production lines,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], having a simple post production assembly that'll be performed by people with difficulties or disabilities.'相关的主题文章:
